What is "Pixel"?

The “Pixel” stands for Picture Element. It is a single point on the screen. Graphic monitors divide the display screen into thousands (or sometimes millions) of pixels, arranged in rows and columns. Color monitors have pixels composed of three dots - red, green and blue. They are called subpixels.
