Troubleshooting

My Philips steamer head is dripping water

When using your Philips steam generator, water may drop from the steamer head. Find out how it works and how to prevent it.

Possible solutions

It is normal if you observe a few water droplets, especially at the start of steaming. This is due to steam condensation inside the steamer head. When steam is ready, release the initial steam for a few seconds before you start. There may be 2 main reasons for water dripping out of your steamer head:

1) You have left the steamer head and/or the steam supply hose in horizontal position for a long time.

Solution: Lift the steamer head to straighten the hose vertically. This allows any condensation to flow back.

2) When the hose forms a U-shape, condensation in the hose cannot flow back into the water tank.

Solution: Lift the steamer head to straighten the hose vertically. This allows any condensation to flow back.
